2nd SUNDAY OF LENT

The Lord is our light and our salvation.
Today’s readings are filled with hope. The Transfiguration gives us a glimpse of the glorified Christ, the same glory in which we are given a share through baptism. Jesus Christ, our Redeemer, is God’s beloved son and the fulfillment of his promise to his people. It is through Christ that we have been given entrance into the Kingdom of God. On the glorious mountaintop of the Transfiguration, and on the hill of Calvary, this knowledge is made known to all generations.

Giving Generously ~ Receiving Gratefully.GIVING GENEROUSLY
RECEIVING GRATEFULLY

Peter, James and John wanted to build a “booth” for Jesus and just stay on the mountain where His transfiguration took place. But the Son of God, the Chosen One, knew that He must instead keep moving toward His Crucifixion. We, too, must rise from worship and do what we can to hasten the coming of the Kingdom.

DEVELOPMENT and PEACE has empowered the people of Concertacion de Mujeres and each organization represented there, which in turn empowers the community. There are spaces where women can meet and direct the development of their community by strengthening the family economy, and improving child care and health services.” Help celebrate our 40th anniversary. SHARE LENT There will be a collection on Mar 25th.
