Saint Patrick's Parish Bulletin

February. 18, 2007 ~ 7TH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME

On our life journey of discipleship,
we can trust God through times of spiritual success or failure.

Doing the right thing can be a challenge,
but God’s grace gives us an inner sense of peace
when we make a good moral decision.
To follow Jesus means doing the right thing
and living in ways that show compassion
and nonjudgmental love toward others.

Giving Generously ~ Receiving Gratefully.GIVING GENEROUSLY
RECEIVING GRATEFULLY

Today’s Gospel has encouraging words for good stewards — “Give and it shall be given to you. For the measure you measure with will be measured back to you.” What encouragement to give generously of the resources entrusted to our care!

Ash Wednesday ~ February 21st

Ash Wednesday’s emphasis on prayer, fasting, and almsgiving is an invitation to take a closer look at our stewardship. It is a time to reassess how we are using the gifts God has entrusted to us and to resolve anew to use our time and resources in the service of His Kingdom.

FOR THOSE WHO WERE NOT HERE LAST WEEK… There are QUESTIONNAIRES and pencils in your pews. It is of utmost importance that you fill out these questionnaires for our parish records and for upcoming sacraments. We prefer that you fill them out in the pews after Communion and drop them in the box at the back of the church. THANK YOU.
