WITH HEARTFELT THANKS
-
To our singers and musicians who have made this Christmas season’s celebrations so joyful! We are blessed with such gifted musicians, making our liturgies both prayerful and dignified.
-
To our Saint Vincent de Paul Society members who have provided Christmas baskets, gifts, and vouchers to so many people in need in our neighborhood. And to the parishioners in helping to provide that assistance.
-
To those who contributed to the cost of our Christmas flowers, to those who gave of their time to decorate the church so beautifully, to those who gave to our “giving tree”, and to the builders of the crêche.
-
To ALL those who contributed to our liturgical celebrations during the year.
-
AND…. to you, the parishioners, who contribute of your time, talent and treasure all year, binding St. Pat’s parish into a remarkable community. Thank for the many acts of kindness not only at Christmas time, but your goodness which you share all year.
Stewardship
The first reading today provides a challenging guideline for the good Stewardship of our family relationships.
How do I measure up?
Does God abide in us and we abide in God?
Do we love one another?
Is our home found in love for God and neighbour?
LET US PRAY THAT WE WILL BECOME MORE AWARE OF GOD’S ABIDING PRESENCE WITH US AND CONTINUE TO DWELL IN THE HOUSE OF THE LORD AS WE LIVE IN THE MIDST OF OUR FAMILIES AND NEIGHBOURS.
Let us live as the holy family, united in respect and love.
BUILDING FUND
As we come to year’s end, we have an extraordinary expense which will be incurred by the Parish to protect the Ascension window above the altar. This “stained glass” window survived the Halifax Explosion and is now being affected by inclement weather. If you would like to donate to its protection, please place your donation (over and above your usual donation) in a separate envelope marked “Window Repair”. Thank You for your generosity.
2007 ENVELOPES
IF YOU HAVE NOT ALREADY DONE SO, PLEASE PICK UP YOUR ENVELOPES FOR THE YEAR 2007 AT THE BACK OF THE CHURCH.
IF THE ADDRESS ON THE ENVELOPE IS NOT RIGHT, YOU WOULD BE KIND TO LET BETTY KNOW 429-1300 SO THAT HER RECORDS CAN BE UPDATED. THANK YOU!
