MEETINGS and EVENTS

Our new Lector Coordinators, Mary Schaefer and Susan LeBlanc-Crawford, have set up Orientation sessions for veteran and newly registered Lectors and for the Readers of Intercessions (Prayers of the Faithful). The schedule continues as follows: Thank you to the lectors (new and veteran) who participated in "Exploring the Pleasure of Proclaiming workshop led by Susan LeBlanc-Crawford.

TUESDAY, DECEMBER 12 (7 to 9 PM) - St. Pats Church Proclaiming Christ in the Christmas Season with Susan LeBlanc-Crawford

OUTREACH COMMITTEE

The Outreach Committee of St. Patrick's is planning to hold a meeting on Saturday, November 25th (1 - 2:30 pm) at St. Patrick's Convent. At that time we invite interested parishioners and representatives from other parish groups involved in "outreach" activities to meet together with our committee members in a conversation concerning the Vision of Outreach at St. Patrick's: Where have we been? and Where can we go from here? Please mark your calendar now. For further information, please speak with Deacon Paul Carnell.

PALLIATIVE CARE

Wednesday, November 8 at 7 pm. Palliative Care and Advancing Illness A Public Lecture for seniors, families and caregivers by Dr. David Dupere, a recognized physician in palliative medicine.

ARCHDIOCESAN STEWARDSHIP APPEAL

There are copies at the back of the church. Thank You for your generous gift to the Appeal so far as we reach out to the less fortunate in our parish, diocese and worldwide Catholic community to continue His work . Through your support, you foster a spirit of Stewardship. Please give generously.

JESUITS VOCATION DAY

Come and meet two Jesuit priests (Frs. Earl Smith and George Leach) and a Jesuit scholastic (Dan Kelly). Enjoy a video, discussion and a reception at 2:00 pm at St. Patrick's Church (or after the 7 pm University Mass at Canadian Martyrs, 5900 Inglis Street)

Thursday, November 9 (2:30 - 4 pm) Victoria Hall. Those who volunteer at Victoria Hall are specially invited!

The Victoria General Hospital is looking for "trained" Communion Ministers to take communion to the patients. Please contact the Chaplain, Fay Louch 473-4055 and leave a message.

WE ARE HAPPY TO ANNOUNCE THAT WE ARE IN THE PROCESS OF PREPARING A ROOM IN THE GLEBE THAT WILL HOLD ABOUT 20 PEOPLE FOR MEETINGS. THE ROOM WILL BE READY IN DECEMBER AND CAN BE BOOKED THROUGH THE SECREATRY, BETTY VAUGHAN

OUR FALLEN HEROES, REMEMBRANCE DAY MASS:

Monday, Nov 13 (10 am) During the Month of NOVEMBER we remember in a special way our DEPARTED LOVED ONES. The Book of Remembrance lies open on the stand in the centre aisle of our church. Please enter the names of those you want the community of Saint Patrick's to remember at Mass.
