Saint Patrick's Parish Bulletin

January 21, 2007 Third SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME

All Christians are called
to be one in the body of Christ.

In today's reading, Paul refers to the baptized Jews and Gentiles as one body of Christ. If our mission is to bring good news to the poor and outcast, ALL Christians are encouraged to live in unity as the body of Christ. The Church Christ founded must function as a whole in our world that needs to know Christ.

During the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, we are challenged to reflect on the role of the scriptures in the promotion of unity.

The Atlantic School of Theology is holding an ECUMENICAL PRAYER SERVICE in Word, Music and Song tonight at 7 pm at St. Matthew's United Church 1479 Barrington St. The Prayer Service, hosted by CBC Radio Olga Milosevich, marks the beginning of the annual Week of "Prayer for Christian Unity".
