Already December 10th!

In our hustle and bustle in preparing for Christmas, let us remember the homeless and all the destitute families who need our “extra” generosity at this “trying” time of the year. In our own community, St. Vincent de Paul comes foremost to mind. We are blessed with dedicated members of our SVDP who are most generous with their time in distributing Christmas dinner, gifts, etc. Likewise, they are blessed with you, the parishioners, who help make it all happen!

There is the GIVING TREE at the back of the church, a fabulous opportunity to get our children involved…. to pick a name and pick a gift for December 10.

There is always the POOR BOX that is constantly in dire need or loonies and townies, waiting for that knock at the door.

Another idea? There is COVERDALE CENTRE who calls on the generosity of St. Patrick’s Glebe in their effort to provide Christmas stockings for women and young girls who do not have anyone else to care about them. If you are interested, I look after the shopping. Having said all that,I sincerely hope you are having a blessed and spiritual Advent. Betty the Secretary
