The Missing Hand of Saint Patrick

The statue of Saint Patrick, with the missing hand, has become the symbol of the fund raising campaign of Saint Patrick's Church Restoration Society. The missing hand has come to symbolize the restoration which the church requires. The restoration of Saint Patrick's hand will be celebrated at the completion of the fundraising campaign.

The Saint Patrick’s Church Restoration Society’s Latest Challenge

The furnace at Saint Patrick’s Church is shutting down.  It is old and needs to be replaced immediately.  We are converting our system to a gas furnace.  In addition, we are doing the necessary clean-up and electrical upgrades in the sub-basement at the same time.  The cost for this entire project is $150,000.  Please follow our progress on this website.  Pictures and the results of our Furnace Fund Campaign will be published weekly.

If you wish to make a donation to our Furnace Fund you can do so by calling 429-4170 with your Visa or MasterCard, you can send a cheque in the mail to 2267 Brunswick St Halifax, NS B3K 2Y9,  or you can make a cash donation in person, at the back of the Church, before or after 10 a.m. Mass.  Please ensure your cheque is made out to the Saint Patrick’s Church Restoration Society.
